Swift, Currie, McGhee & Hiers in 2019 posted a host of defense verdicts for clients—one in which the client in a bus-car accident faced a $9 million potential verdict.

Another verdict came in a slip and fall case, where the plaintiff asked for $1.2 million in closing arguments. A jury awarded the plaintiff damages that ultimately ran to $107,000, which was less than the last pretrial settlement offer and about half of the lowest pretrial demand.
