Long County Probate Judge Bobby Harrison Smith is asking a judge for a do-over election after he lost his race to a challenger by a handful of votes where some people voted twice.

At least seven people voted twice in the June 9 primary that Long County Probate Judge Bobby Harrison Smith lost by nine votes, according to Smith's attorney.
Others were improperly sent absentee ballots even though their ballot applications were never signed, making those ballots void, and others voted absentee after someone else illegally submitted ballot applications for them, said Smith's attorney, Jake Evans of Holland & Knight.
