A complaint filed in Fulton County levels legal malpractice claims against Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough and former law firm partner Steve Park, accusing them of costing a client “tens of millions of dollars” in profits by helping a company officer launch a rival business.

The plaintiff, Atlanta-based Southern States Regional Center, is in the business of arranging for foreigner investors to bypass normal United States immigration processes for permanent legal residency by ponying up at least $500,000 to finance business development here.
