George Villasana, senior vice president, general counsel and secretary at Duluth-based Asbury Automotive Group Inc., moved from seventh to fifth on the list, with $571,154 in salary and $582,188 in nonequity compensation for $1,153,342 in total cash.

That was a significant increase from the previous year’s $901,169. The next year’s numbers should be interesting, however, as Villasana was among a host of executives whose pay was slashed 20% in the early days of the pandemic, according to Bloomberg Law.
