Although a dead man may get more votes in a Georgia election, the surviving opponent wins the race, the Supreme Court of Georgia ruled Monday.  

The high court ‘s unanimous ruling affirms a Western Circuit Superior Court judge who upheld an Athens-Clarke County Board of Elections decision to declare Jesse Houle the winner of the June 9 election, even though Houle received fewer votes than his opponent, Jerry NeSmith.
