Womble Bond Dickinson has seen demand jump during the pandemic for the small ancillary contract attorney service it started three years ago, as budget-constrained general counsel seek more affordable and flexible options for routine matters like contract review.

Billings for GC Solutions have increased by 11% since the pandemic started in March, and revenue is up 33% year over year, even with two fewer lawyers, said Jamie Francis, the Womble corporate partner who heads it.
