Hawkins Parnell & Young has elected Christine Mast to be the first woman managing partner in the litigation defense firm’s nearly 60-year history. 

Mast told the Daily Report in an interview that she wants to improve Hawkins Parnell’s diversity and its training of young lawyers by instituting more formalized programs. As she becomes the 135-lawyer firm’s leader during the pandemic, she said the firm also wants to return lawyers and staff to their offices as soon as practicable.
