The Supreme Court of Georgia announced Friday that former Chief Justice George Carley died from COVID-19 Thursday night. He was 82.
Carley served on the Court of Appeals of Georgia from 1979 until 1993, and then served on the high court from 1993 until he retired at the end of 2012.
