Cobb County’s new chief Superior Court judge on Tuesday suspended in-person jury trials until further notice and limited all other in-person hearings because COVID-19 is spreading “at unprecedented levels” across Cobb County and the state. 

Chief Judge Robert Leonard’s order also suspended all deadlines associated with pending trials and excused jurors who were already summoned for jury trials scheduled to start in January. Grand juries will continue to meet.
