Charlie Peeler, the former U.S. attorney for the Middle District of Georgia, has joined Troutman Pepper’s white-collar and government investigations practice as a partner, after resigning from his prosecutor post on Dec. 11.

Peeler started at Troutman on Monday, the same day as BJay Pak, the U.S. attorney for the Northern District of Georgia, unexpectedly resigned ahead of the Jan. 20 inauguration of President-elect Joe Biden, when he’d previously told his staff he would depart. Pak has not yet said where he will next practice law.
