Georgia courts have not yet filed their annual caseload statistics with the Judicial Office of the Courts due March 15, but the pandemic shutdown and related moratorium on evictions and foreclosures certainly had an effect on the busiest court in the state’s busiest circuit in 2020. 

Fulton County Magistrate Court Chief Magistrate Judge Cassandra Kirk said her court’s caseloads—which include evictions, dispossessories and other landlord-tenant disputes—plunged by more than half in 2021.
