The Judicial Council of Georgia announced Wednesday that the state government has made judges and court staff eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine.

“This is extremely important and necessary as we resume jury trials across the state,” said Chief Justice Harold Melton, who on Tuesday memorialized the judges who have perished during the pandemic in the past year. “The more people who are vaccinated will decrease the risk to the public interacting with the courts.”
