While most Georgia courts are racing to get their criminal dockets back on schedule, at least one circuit managed to squeeze in its first civil trial last week, handing a $200,000 verdict to a motorcycle officer injured when an unmanned vehicle rolled into him in Columbus.
Attorney Stephen Hodges of Columbus' Philips Branch & Hodges said luck played a large part in getting the case heard before a Harris County jury.
