Both Georgia Attorney General Chris Carr and Fulton County Superior and Magistrate Court Clerk Cathelene “Tina” Robinson are warning that scammers are using their offices in an effort to bilk Georgians for money or personal data. 

Robinson’s office warned that it has received several complaints about people reporting themselves as “special investigators” or clerk staffers seeking identifying information, such as Social Security numbers or birth dates, or demanded money by threatening to have targets arrested, cited or subjected to liens.
