A jury decided a Georgia Whistleblower Act suit, awarding a nearly $350,000 verdict to a first responder who had gone without pay for more than two years after making allegations against his city employer.

“This was a case that will send a signal to other lawyers that the Whistleblower Act really does have teeth,” said Luke Andrews, a partner at Watson Spence in Atlanta. “I hope this case becomes kind of a road map and an encouragement to other lawyers.”
