While the term “fiduciary litigation” may invoke images of green eyeshades and stacks of dusty ledgers, Gaslowitz Frankel partner Craig Frankel said his practice—which encompasses complex contract matters, business disputes and employment claims—frequently finds him squaring off in courtrooms or enmeshed in fraught negotiations.

Or it did, until the COVID-19 pandemic shuttered courthouses and ushered in a new Zoom-centric era of remote conferencing and increased pressure to work out agreements among parties who are often dealing with urgent financial considerations and—in Frankel’s practice— may well be trustees or family members pitted in fraught contention.
