A federal jury in Atlanta awarded more than $1 million to a company that markets simulated granite and stainless steel laminates in a trademark infringement case, including attorney fees of $260,000.

The case, centered on the defendant company’s use of the terms “Instant Granite” and “Instant Stainless” in its online marketing, arose after the parties reached a settlement in a prior case, in which plaintiff Instant One Media Inc. paid $175,000 to resolve trademark claims.
