An Atlanta lawyer and a Maryland lawyer/doctor have updated their long-running book series about abortion law with many recent developments and a new title: “Whose Choice is It? Abortion, Medicine and the Law.”

The book will be published in July by the American Bar Association. It’s the seventh edition for David F. Walbert of Parks Chesin Walbert and Dr. J. Douglas Butler, a lawyer and surgeon in Maryland. They were in law school together at Case Western Reserve University—where Walbert was law review editor—when the U.S. Supreme Court issued its landmark abortion ruling for Roe v. Wade in 1973 legalizing abortion.
