In less than a week, the Council of State Court Judges of Georgia is set to welcome its first Asian American president, as Judge Alvin Wong of the DeKalb County State Court assumes the leadership role July 1.

Wong’s election marks the first time an Asian American has served as president of any judicial council in Georgia.
