Gov. Brian Kemp named six new judges Tuesday, leading his announcement with his choice to fill the opening left by the departure of Georgia Supreme Court Chief Justice Harold Melton last month.
That will be Judge Verda Colvin, who will move up from the Georgia Court of Appeals.
