An attorney for a southwest Atlanta townhome complex sued by a man shot during a 2015 robbery squared off with the victim’s attorney in Zoom arguments before the Georgia Court of Appeals Thursday, asking the three-judge panel to reverse a trial judge and order the case dismissed.

Central issues included the type and length of time between the armed robbery and other criminal activity at the Villages of Cascade and whether the plaintiff should have known that he might be targeted by criminals and taken more care to look after himself.
