Former family law attorney and Georgia State Rep. Meagan Myers Hanson, now executive director of Georgians for Lawsuit Reform, has launched a Republican campaign to unseat Georgia’s Sixth District Rep. Lucy McBath, a Democrat.

McBath flipped the North Metro Atlanta seat in 2018, defeating Republican Karen Handel, and held onto it against the same opponent in 2020, when Georgia elected Democrats for president and U.S. Senate.
