A Rabun County jury awarded a total $140 million to the parents and family of a 7-year-old boy swept overboard and drowned while boating on Lake Burton in 2014, deciding that the boat's manufacturer had failed to warn its passengers that the low, open bow was known to be a swamping hazard.
