Hogan Lovells, a global law firm, and the Mississippi Center for Justice on Friday filed a federal lawsuit against District Attorney Doug Evans and three investigators for misbehavior leading to the wrongful prosecution of Curtis Flowers.

Flowers, who was falsely accused of killing four people in a furniture store in Winona, Mississippi, in 1996, went through six capital murder trials and spent 23 years in prison before being exonerated last year.
