With its seven shareholders entering different stages of their careers, Atlanta-based law firm Ellis Funk is set to undergo a major restructuring at the end of September that will see some of its attorneys spin off to form a new firm.

“We’ve known this was going to happen,” Ellis Funk shareholder Robert Dokson said. “We’ve all been planning for it. I’m not someone who necessarily loves change, but this is right for me and the direction that each group or person is moving in is right for them.”
