The Augusta Judicial Circuit Superior Court’s newest judge comes to the job from the perspective of five years on the Juvenile Court bench.

“I call juvenile court the emergency room of the judicial system,” Juvenile Court Judge Amanda Heath told the Daily Report Friday after Gov. Brian Kemp announced her appointment to the superior court.  “The abuse and neglect of children—that’s an emergency day to day.”
