Two treatment courts in Cobb County have been chosen as models for other accountability programs to follow.

The courts are part of a growing number of treatment programs across the state credited with reducing the prison population while helping individuals reclaim productive lives. They are the Cobb County Veterans Accountability and Treatment Court and the Cobb County Family Treatment Court. They have both been selected as Model Courts by the Council of Accountability Court Judges for 2021 through 2024, the Cobb County Superior Court announced Friday. Model Courts serve as a resource to other Georgia accountability courts in need of program and technical assistance.
