The Georgia Defense Lawyers Association (GDLA) is mourning the loss of its president, George Hall.

A partner with the Hull Barrett law firm in Augusta, he died Sunday during the swimming portion of the Ironman Triathlon competition in that city. Hall, who would have turned 60 on Monday, died of an apparent heart attack, said David Hudson, a fellow partner at Hull Barrett. His death was a surprise to everyone who knew him.
