The pandemic shutdown inspired Gwinnett County State Court Judge Shawn Bratton to revive an unusual hobby. He plays bagpipes.

Credit goes to his children, ages 8 and 10. They grew restless with virtual school last year and told their dad they wanted to have a parade. So in April 2020, he dusted off his pipes and away they went, unannounced, marching through their suburban Gwinnett County neighborhood. Dad led the clan, with brother on the snare drum and sister on the harmonica, dressed for the occasion in her kilt.
