The complaint accuses the defendant of attempting to manipulate the securities market by making false statements designed to cause the prices of certain stocks to rise temporarily. Lawyers have not yet appeared for the defendants. The case is 1:21-cv-04054, United States Securities and Exchange Commission v. Melnick.
