Three women who complained of egregious sexual harassment and assault against former Jesup, Georgia, Police Chief Mike Lane have settled their federal lawsuit for $1 million.

The settlement comes just eight months after the former police department  workers—two officers and a secretary who quit because of the chief’s treatment—filed their complaint in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Georgia.
