Attorneys fighting on behalf of a family grieving the deaths of a father and daughter killed when their vehicle struck unpermitted mailbox structures have been defeated by sovereign immunity—again.

The Georgia Court of Appeals has granted the city of Roswell’s request to dismiss a pair of consolidated estate and wrongful-death appeals, finding “the appellants failed to meet their burden to prove waiver of the city’s sovereign immunity” by failing to state a claim.
