The tables have turned for a former Georgia district attorney. Instead of offering plea deals on behalf of the state, he’s now opted to accept one for himself.

Less than a year and a half after beating out incumbent Chattahoochee Judicial Circuit District Attorney Julia Slater in the June 2020 primary election, Muscogee County District Attorney Mark Jones pleaded guilty Monday to four of nine counts of criminal misconduct alleged against him, as part of a plea deal.
