A Georgia health care company has reached a settlement agreement with the federal government over allegations that it violated the False Claims Act.

According to a Monday news release, Norcross-based PruittHealth Inc. and its affiliated companies have agreed to pay $4.2 million after they were accused of submitting claims for home health services not covered by Medicare or Medicaid and then not refunding overpayments they got from the two government programs in an appropriate manner.
