Q&A: McCarter & English's Guillermo Artiles

As a former associate counsel to Gov. Phil Murphy, McCarter & English partner Guillermo Artiles had a front-row seat to New Jersey's move toward a legalized marijuana market. Now the lawyer-lobbyist leads his firm's cannabis practice, which is busy helping clients meet fast-approaching marijuana license deadlines.

I recently spoke with Artiles about shifting to the "other side" of cannabis regulations and about his thoughts on New Jersey's move to a regulated adult-use market. Our conversation is edited for length and clarity.
