The Supreme Court of Georgia has put an end to an attorney’s attempt to unseat a gubernatorially appointed judge on the basis the governor allegedly took too long to make the appointment.

Senior Judge Michael Karpf had also tossed a lawsuit brought by Augusta attorney Maureen O. Floyd claiming Gov. Brian Kemp illegally appointed former state Sen. Jesse C. Stone, R-Waynesboro, to the Augusta Judicial Circuit Superior Court bench.
