Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp is now considering two finalists to fill a vacancy on the Douglas County Superior Court bench created by the impending retirement of Chief Judge David T. Emerson, who is stepping down Dec. 31.

The short list of candidates from the Judicial Nominating Commission for the State of Georgia consists of Douglas County Juvenile Court Associate Judge Talia J. Nurse and Douglas County District Attorney’s Office Chief Assistant District Attorney Deah B. Warren.
