It’s day two on the job for four Georgia judges handpicked by the governor just days before the end of 2021 to fill newly created seats and subsequent judicial vacancies through 2024.

Gov. Brian Kemp has elevated Judge Danielle P. Roberts to Superior Court of the Flint Judicial Circuit and Judge Henry R. Thompson to Superior Court of the Cobb Judicial Circuit from their prior state court seats in either circuit. Both newly created superior court seats resulted from the passage of House Bill 786 during the 2020 session of the Georgia General Assembly.
