SweetWater Brewing Co. and its parent company Tilray Inc. sued Colorado artist Ray Scott Fuss Tuesday in Georgia Northern District Court. The suit, filed by Taylor English Duma, centers on a trout drawing illustrated by Fuss for Sweetwater Brewing in 1996 and used in its branding. The suit seeks a declaration that SweetWater owns the image and is not infringing any copyrights with its use. Counsel have not yet appeared for Fuss. The case is 1:22-cv-00024, Sweetwater Brewing Company, LLC et al v. Fuss.
