Chief Justice David Nahmias started the 10 a.m. remote oral argument session Tuesday by saying that normally he would be the only justice sitting in the courtroom, but explained that he was working remotely too because he has COVID.

Georgia Supreme Court Chief Justice David Nahmias opened oral arguments Tuesday morning by announcing he has tested positive for COVID-19—despite being fully vaccinated and boosted.
Nahmias said his symptoms are mild so far. He added that might be because of his vaccines and booster shot.
