Fulton County Superior Court Chief Judge Christopher Brasher has granted a request from District Attorney Fani Willis to call a special-purpose grand jury to investigate former President Donald Trump’s efforts to reverse the results of the 2020 election.

Brasher said a majority of the judges of the court had agreed to impanel the jury the DA requested last week. It will start on May 2 and continue for 12 months—excluding anytime the court may be closed for safety reasons.
