Chrysler is having to defend itself against eight products liability lawsuits filed in Georgia’s Gwinnett County State Court over a Dodge van that rolled over and burst into flames on a freeway just outside Atlanta last April, killing or injuring the 15 passengers on board.

Attorneys for the women and their families made a strategic decision to file separate wrongful death actions for each of the seven women who were killed, plaintiffs counsel Chris Glover said Thursday. Glover is a principal in the Atlanta office of the Montgomery, Alabama-based plaintiffs’ firm Beasley Allen, which also has an office in Mobile.
