Judge Stops Anthem Blue Cross From Immediately Canceling Hospital Contracts
The key to the decision was a new law passed by the General Assembly and signed by Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp which says that during a public health emergency, health care contracts could not be terminated by insurers without 150 days' notice.
