A relative of retired U.S. Army Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn filed a $100 million lawsuit in a federal court in Tampa against Cable News Network Inc. for an allegedly defamatory report implicating her as a follower of conspiracy theory QAnon.

And court watchers are saying the action against Atlanta-based CNN by Flynn’s sister-in-law, Valerie, could gain momentum in Florida, the state where a jury returned a nine-figure verdict that crushed news outlet Gawker Media LLC.
