Block Inc., the fintech provider formerly known as Square, was hit with a copyright infringement lawsuit Wednesday in Georgia Northern District Court in connection with its operation of the website creation tool Weebly. The lawsuit, filed by SRipLaw PA on behalf of eight professional photographers, accuses Block of allowing customers to access and integrate copyrighted images into their websites without authorization. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendant. The case is 1:22-cv-00783, Cruse et al v. Block, Inc.
