The Georgia Supreme Court ruled Tuesday that winning plaintiffs can collect what amounts to double recovery of fees and costs in certain cases.
Justice Charlie Bethel wrote for a unanimous court that prevailing plaintiffs in civil suits may fully recover fees and litigation expenses from their opponents under two different state statutes, without one precluding or limiting the other.
