One sentence from the Georgia Supreme Court comes as an important signal to move forward in lithium battery personal injury litigation, according to plaintiff's counsel in this and other similar lawsuits.
The issue is jurisdiction, or whether a foreign company can be sued in a U.S. court. "That's what's slowing it down everywhere," said Harris Yegelwel of Morgan & Morgan, who said he and his firm have similar cases pending around the country against LG Chem, a South Korean corporation.
