Counsel at Butler Snow on Tuesday removed a lawsuit against Weyerhaeuser, a major producer of forest products, to Georgia Southern District Court. The suit, filed by Brown, Readdick, Bumgartner, Carter, Strickland & Watkins on behalf of Vernon A. Copeland Revocable Trust, contends that the defendant's construction of drainage ditches has resulted in an increase of water runoff onto the plaintiff's property. The case is 2:22-cv-00025, Copeland v. Weyerhaeuser NR Company.
