From federal grant funding and budget updates to leadership changes and farewells, the April general session of the Judicial Council of Georgia covered a variety of topics.

Throughout the 90-minute meeting, judges shared updates and proposed court changes, including $5,000 “cost of living” pay raises for judges and judicial staff, the legislative creation of three new judgeships, and plans to announce final first-year grant awards provided under the American Rescue Plan Act aimed at addressing court case backlogs.
