As 11 judicial circuits throughout the state of Georgia wait to learn if their applications for federal grant money aimed at addressing court case backlogs will be approved, more than two dozen circuits seeking reimbursements are being asked to remain patient.

During the Judicial Council of Georgia general session meeting, Supreme Court of Georgia Chief Justice David E. Nahmias assured judges that administrators are taking steps to expedite the reimbursement process.
